MUSIC UP CLOSE NETWORK

Within the European Union program called Creative Europe, Montenegrin Music Center participates in the project "Music Up Close Network" with nine other partners from seven European countries. The goals of the program imply strengthening international cooperation and finding innovative formats and communication approaches that would attract young and heterogeneous audiences at classical music concerts. MUCN's activities include specially designed concert programes, meetings and conversations with audience, music workshops, composing and performing new orchestral works, training of young musicians in partner orchestras and exchanging experiences of professional staff. In addtion to Montenegrin Music Center, many important European institutions and orchestras participate in the program: Netherlands Symphony Orchestra, Barcelona Symphony Orchestra, Lille National Orchestra, National Academy Santa Cecilia from Rome, Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra, Slokar Academy from Ljubljana, International Foundation Yehudi Menuhin from Brussels.
